Every photo has a story, not just the one you see, but the one you feel.
I've always loved new stories. Not the polished kind, but the ones that come with cracked edges. The ones where people talk about what they've been through and how they've grown as a person. Maybe that is why I became both a counselor and photographer- because in different ways, both roles let me hold space for people and help them see the beauty in their journey.
As a substance use counselor, I've spent years sitting with people in some of their darkest moments. I've witnessed heartbreak, resilience, laughter through tears, and the quiet strength it takes to just keep going. These moments have taught me that healing often doesn't come from simply "fixing" what is broken. Sometimes, it comes from being seen, understood, and reminded that there's still something good waiting on the other side.
Photography has become another extension of that same heart. Behind the lens, I get to see people as they are, raw, real, and full of depth. I get to capture small glimpses of light even when life feels heavy.
That is what Silver Lining Stories is all about.
With how chaotic the world feels these days, I have been craving something that brings people to together. Something that reminds us that goodness, love, and connection still exist. This blog is my space for that. A space that I would like to share with you. A space for stories, reflections, healing, and glimpses into the silver linings along the way.
My hope is that with these stories- yours, mine, and the ones we might create together, we can offer our community a little light, hope, and a reminder that we are all more connected than we think.
Welcome to Silver Lining Stories.
